Bluebirds Class

Our Class (3 or 5 day) – The Bluebirds classroom is designed for children ages 4–5 as they continue their early learning journey and prepare for the exciting transition to kindergarten! Through a balance of play, exploration, and intentional learning experiences, children build confidence, independence, and the foundational skills needed for future success. Additional opportunities for kindergarten readiness are thoughtfully woven into our days to meet each child where they are and support their individual growth.

At the heart of the Bluebirds classroom is our commitment to community. We believe children thrive when they feel connected, valued, and responsible for one another. Together, we practice kindness, empathy, cooperation, and problem-solving as we learn what it means to be an important part of a caring community. We also weave mindfulness into our daily rhythm, giving children tools to navigate big feelings and hard moments with confidence.

Nature is an essential part of our curriculum. We typically spend half of our day indoors and half of our day exploring and learning in the forest. We believe that time in nature is imperative for a child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Depending on the needs and interests of the class, we may choose to spend even more of our day outdoors, allowing children the freedom to investigate, create, take risks, and develop a deep connection with the natural world.

Classes take place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the 3-day option or Monday through Friday for the 5-day option.
