Jenni | Purple Martins Class

Jenni is thrilled to soar with the Purple Martins in her first year as a teacher at BAPP. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Childhood Studies and is deeply passionate about the ways spending time in both nature and the classroom support a child’s growth, well‑being, and development.

Jenni’s teaching is shaped by the forest school movement and the Reggio Emilia approach to inquiry-based learning. She earned her Forest Kindergarten certification in 2016. Most recently, she worked in Charleston, South Carolina as both teacher and assistant director of Loblolly Forest School, and later as the assistant director and teacher at Preschool for the Arts. These experiences strengthened her commitment to nature-based, child-centered learning and solidified her love of early childhood education. After pausing her career in 2023 to welcome her daughter and now BAPP student, Story (2025-2028), Jenni is excited to return to the work she loves.

Jenni believes childhood should be full of muddy feet, curious questions, and joyful discoveries. Whether children are examining insects, planting seeds, building with recyclables, or engaging in messy play, she encourages learning through hands-on exploration, imaginative play, and meaningful experiences. Whether outside or inside the classroom, her goal is to nurture wonder, confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find Jenni spending time with her family at the beach or river. As both a parent and a teacher, she is grateful to be part of the BAPP community, where she can inspire young explorers to slow down, look closely, ask big questions, and discover the magic woven throughout the world we share.
