Lauren is excited to be a part of the staff at BAPP because it is such a special place where children are encouraged to be themselves! Lauren has a degree in Art Education and Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University. She taught art for nine years in Richmond elementary schools. She has a love of sharing the excitement of learning with children and is passionate about child development and various learning styles, including Montessori, RIE, and Reggio Emilia. After spending two years as a parent at BAPP, she felt the pull to become a greater presence in the classroom. She knows that each child is unique and special and sees herself as a guide helping students navigate their way in the classroom. She can’t wait to join the Purple Martins to see their discovery and growth this year!
